This past Saturday I made the staggering thirteen mile drive to DJO Raceway for the season opener. After losing out on the title due to a tie-breaker I was hoping not only to continue running very well there but also to do everything I need to grab the championship this year.
With only three Buggies showing up we were included into the newly formed ECX Boost class. Armed only with M4 Hole Shots all around I got a good feel for the track in practice. After three rounds of qualifying I ended up second on the grid and was confident heading into the A-Main.
At the sound of the tone the TQ and myself pulled away but he had a little trouble on the first lap handing me the lead. From there until the end of seven minutes I was unchallenged and won by eight seconds.
