I had another great day at DJO Raceway except this time it was on Saturday evening instead of Sunday afternoon. With practice starting right at 3pm. The track was a little dry but I knew as the sun went down the traction would come up.
When qualifying started the track was starting to come around and in the first round I ran my fastest time of the year with several mistakes, so I was feeling really good about how the day would go.
The second round went right to plan and I got the first 11 lap qualifier that I know of at DJO for 2WD Buggy, 11/5:25, which was also TQ for the day.
The third round went better than the first but I wasn’t as consistent so I backed up to another 10-lapper.
For the Main, the track was in great shape, maybe too great. By this time the rear of the Buggy was locked down and I picked up a little bit of a push. I wasn’t able to stay out front and lost out on first by just under three seconds.
My new K-Power servo was perfect as well as my Venom batteries and Pro-Line 4-Ribs and Blockades. The transmission was smooth as can be with the Speedy’s cut gears.
Huge thanks to Pro-Line for the help.
There is only one race left at DJO and at this time I hold a one point lead for the championship.
