Mike Reedy 1941 – 2011
A True Ambassador of the Sport
Todd Mattson –
Mike Reedy was an amazing man, generous, innovative and a hard working leader in the R/C industry. I think we all met Mike at the track, a place he spent countless hours scouting talent, working on motors and racing. Mike Reedy’s impact on the RC industry will never be forgotten. He invested deeply in relationships and R/C and that will be his legacy.
Tim Clark –
When I first came to Pro-Line and started attending major race events, Mike Reedy took me under his wing as he did with most. He showed me how to travel, eat well and make good friends which was second nature for him. It was during this time that I experienced Mike’s passion for the hobby, its community and RC car racing first hand. I observed Mike working on his business and with his race team in a manner that made it clear that it was not about the money. Mike was fueled by the love he had for the hobby and wanting to help and befriend others who had a similar passion for it. I will be always thankful to Mike for the kindness and friendship that he showed myself and others alike and will forever miss his approach to competition that promoted comradely, honesty and sportsmanship amongst young gifted drivers that he called family. Thank you for the memories.

Mike was a true ambassador of the sport always super friendly and a great guy to learn from. I was fortunate enough to work with Mike over the years that M-N-M hobbies hosted the Reedy Race Of Champions which today is one of the greatest electric events ever established. Mike was always willing to help everyone and was eager to take on new talent and help up and coming racers . I remember way back in the day when I had motor issues Mike took my motor repaired the entire thing for free and even checked with me during the course of the day to make sure everything was all right. Mike will truly be missed and his Legacy will live on forever R.I.P Mike Reedy

A Pioneer. A Leader. An Icon. A believer. A Legend. A Friend. These are the things that have and will always define Mike Reedy. Thank you so much, Mike, for all you did for the RC industry and for always believing in me. You will forever be missed and forever be remembered. Mike’s selflessness could only be matched by the inspiration he gave to others. During the days of the RC10-the days winning races for the trophy and the shear title of saying “you’re the best,” hundreds of people would pass by just to watch Mike do his magic on a com lathe so us racers would have the best product possible.
Back in the day, racers and Mike, especially, would congratulate the guy who set fast time in qualifying no matter if it was his own team member or not. You learned about your car and about other people by going to the track. But today, Mike, is your day as so many will be celebrating and sharing stories they created with you. I know I’ll be sharing mine just as I have since I met you until I see you again.
