I made the 3-hour drive up to Medford, Oregon, for the 2nd round of the yearly NCSOS series. The 2nd round of the series would be held at Crown Raceway, just outside of Medford, Oregon located on Chad Paris’ property. This meant for some real off-road racing! I would end up practicing all day Friday and was able to start with a good base setup for all of my cars. Tires would play the biggest role in setup, once I found the right tires my cars were dialed for racing on Saturday. With 60 entries and around 20 E-Buggies, I knew it would be for some good competition.

Feeling confident going into qualifying, I would go ahead and TQ all three rounds of qualifying in the E-Buggy class for the overall going into the triple A-Main events. It would be almost the same way for Pro Nitro Buggy, I would be on a TQ run but unfortunately my tires would come unglued and end my race.  Luckily I would have good runs in my last two qualifiers putting me as the overall TQ.

All of my Tekno cars were amazing with the help from my Pro-Line M3 LockDowns!

It was now time for the main events. I would have a good time in qualifying putting on the poll in both of my classes.  The triple mains for E-Buggies were first for me.  In A1 I would walk away from the field, and managed to lap it by the end of the race.  A2 would go exactly the same, once again walking away from the field and lapping it.  Now it was time for the Pro Buggy Main.  I would have a good start, by the first fuel stop I already nearly lapped the field.  Around the 10-minute mark of the 30-minute main, my clutch bell exploded when I landed a jump on power.  I knew what had happened immediately, I quickly grabbed my car and ran back to the pits.  In about 3-minutes I had taken my motor out of my car and put a new clutch bell on and was able to get back out on the track!  I knew winning wasn’t going to happen but I wanted on that podium!  The last 15-minutes of the race was the most strapped I had ever driven.  Some how on one of the last few laps, I managed to catch and pass 3rd place to take the last spot on the podium!  Definitely one of my better accomplishments as a driver!

Overall it was a great day of racing for me, I am currently the points leader in both E-Buggy and Pro Nitro Buggy.

All of my Tekno cars were amazing with the help from my Pro-Line M3 LockDowns!

My Tekin equipment performed great as well as having the fastest E-Buggy on the track!  A huge thanks to my sponsors for the help as I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without them.
