First results are from the MHOC-Mile High Outdoor Championships held at MHOR RC Raceway in Aurora Colorado.
this was the first annual outdoor challenge held there. There was 138 entries overall. I set up and raced my PRO-2M in the 13.5 SC class, equipped with EVO SC Body, Pro-Line Primes, and F-11 +3mm Wheels, Sway Bars front and rear, Pro-Line Pro-Specs. Throughout the weekend event we were all close in times which led to all 3-Mains being needed to sort out 1st threw 3rd. it was tight all weekend long with me securing a 3rd place podium in on-road trim. My Viper/Maclan esc and motors ran smooth and powerful, and
my Pro-Line equipment kept me locked in and looking good.
Thank you to all who make it possible with the best in the biz. Pro-Line Racing, MHOR RC RACEWAY, VIPER/MACLAN, Mile High Kustoms, and JG Graphics. Thank you to Chadd Brockman for having another awesome race at his facility.
They next results are from the Cheyenne Showdown held at the South East Wyoming Racing Club in Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is a large outdoor 1:8 styled track rough and somewhat groomed. Was attended by over 150 entrants, I ran my PRO-2M in the PRO 2WD SC class, equipped with pre-mounted Pro-Line Blockades, Pro-Specs, Carbon stiffeners and EVO SC Body. The first 2 rounds of qualifying were throw outs as I was chasing a set up coming from strictly indoors. Round 3 I broke out and set the TQ pace on the only 10 lap run but wind played a factor and flipped the truck netting a 9-lapper but still TQing. round 4 more of the same fighting the wind, putting in a strong run but netting a mid pack qualification for the A-Main. We would run single 8-min main where at the tone I jumped out to a 3rd place chasers position and applied pressure for the first 6-minutes, where I started to pressure 1st and 2nd for the lead, I went for the big double on the back side but mother nature had other ideas gusting me back to last place with a little under 2-minutes remaining, I fought back the entire time to get back up to fourth ending my run for a podium.
Thank you to all who make it possible with the best in the biz. Pro-Line Racing, MHOR RC RACEWAY, VIPER/MACLAN, Mile High Kustoms, and JG Graphics. Special thanks to Johnny Powers, Eric Larsen and the rest of the crew in Cheyenne for the invite and hospitality.
