This race was held about an hour from my house at a track in Toowomba. The track was a smooth/small flowing track and had some nice technical sections.
We went up Saturday for practice as this was my first time at this track, to get a feel for Tires and compounds and to make sure my gear was on point.
We ended up trying a bunch of different treads and settled on Bow-Ties in X3 to start for the next day.
Qualyfing the next day was a little unlucky for me I had some traffic issues in Q1 and brake problems in Q2 but the car, engine (Mito 4) were all running amazingly.
The track eventually started to create a groove and we only had 2 qualifiers and straight into the finals so I had to make a decision on what Tire I would choose. It was quite a cold temperature by the time the final came around so I chose to run an X4 Blockade.
This proved to be an awesome decision, I started off in P2 and went off pushing the leader and managed to pass him and create a big lead. I was running 9-minute stops with my Mito 4 and it helped me to have 1 less stop which pushed my lead even further and I ended up with the win.
Overall it was a solid weekend of fun racing and a good weekend of running.
Thank You for your continuous support. My next big event will be the FEMCA race on the 5th of June.
Kindest Regards,
