Ashley cup was an epic weekend. I had a great time with the OBR/TR CORE Team!! Met some new friends and old. The whole event was a blast. OBR BBQ was great, Sean can BBQ! Saturday night rocked with the band playing.
The Team Chase rock wall was super cool, and the racing was really intense and fun! The Bechard RC Raceway track at Glen Helen was challenging for everyone but the track crew did their best to prep for the Mains. Lots of roost was cool though.
I decided to get a 4WD Truck going again at the last minute and I have to thank Kent from KillerRC for making a voltage regulator at the last minute for me since DDM was out. Thanks! Billy from Hitec / Multiplex USA got my SG1000 to me in time, Thanks for your support Hitec! OBR built me an insane 32 reed motor I’m still breaking in for this 4WD I’ll be racing the rest of the season. I had a blast getting my 4wd going again and racing. I just missed the bump to the A-main but had a blast. My REDXRC Pro2 unlimited 2wd truck was amazing and I really had a blast racing against Chris Higa and Kevin Enriquez. Two of the best 2WD pros in the US.
In the end I took home a 2nd place, I fought really hard for! Great job Steve Perez for taking third with his PRO2. It was a solid run! Thank you Kyle Christy for pitting my 2WD Main, Being my spotter and keeping me calm kinda lol.
