Australian Pro-Line Challenge 2015 has been run and won!! The series that brings clubs and racers together doing what they do best, Race R/C!!!!
2015 has 5 clubs in the series Illawarra, ACT, Manning Valley, Maitland and Liverpool. Averaging 60 entries for each race meeting.
Only 3 of the four rounds were run due to Illawarra round being washed out with no results to count.
Buggy – Last years winner Ari Bakla looked strong from the start of the series with a win in Maitland & ACT missing the 3nd Round at Manning Valley but again proving too strong at his local club Liverpool taking the round win and series win. Dallas Gardiner (Maitland) travelled to every round and picked up some great results and thus finishing a very strong second place, most agree carrier best form at the moment. Third was Shane Kelly (ACT) took the long drive from ACT for 4 of the 5 rounds, considered a little unlucky in a couple of the rounds, especially at his local track, finished a well deserved 3rd overall.
Truggy – The up and comer in the R/C Scene, Wade Lazich has been putting in a lot of effort in the last 12 months and it has paid off, taking the win and his first major win in the Truggy Class. Another Season traveler from Maitland Brendhan Wade fresh off his 1:5 Nationals win coming in a strong second. Last years winner Shane Kelly again a little unlucky but still very strong in 3rd.
E-Buggy – 2015 was the first year the EP 1:8 Buggies were an official class. Concerned about numbers initially but it was very well supported. Special mention to the Port Maquarie drivers heading north for every round of the series, driving an average of 5-6 hours for each meeting. It paid John Ford and Steven Patterson both from PMQ Club taking the top 2 spots of the podium, coming home strong in third the ever consistent Adam Corhonen
