Last weekend was the Short Course Showdown finals at Hobbyplex Raceway in Omaha, Nebraska put on by Scotty Ernst. I ran PRO 2, Short Course Buggy, and Pro 4.
In Pro 2 I have been trying some new setups and have been able to make the truck react considerably different. However, that isn’t always a good thing and have been slowly working my way back to my old setup. With that being said, the truck drove very good and with a few more changes. I think it will be absolutely perfect. I did finish 3rd in the B-Main just missing the 2 spots that bumped to the A-Main. I ran M4 Electrons all weekend.
In Short Course Buggy I could do no wrong! I TQ’d all 4 rounds of qualifying. Even after getting tangled up in the first lap of the Main I still managed to make my way back from last place to first in just a few laps taking the top spot on the podium and the TQ running M4 Electrons.
Over the years I have driven pretty much every Short Course Buggy that I know of and none of them compared to how well the Pro-Line PRO-2 Short Course Buggy handled for me after just having 1 day of practice on it.
In Pro 4 which was the biggest class of the weekend with an A, B and C-Main I managed to qualify 6th in the A-Main.
After a couple of rough qualifiers in the Main, I knew the track had changed and that I would be needing a little more traction, so I put on my set of M4 Suburbs and right at the start I couldn’t believe the amount of forward bite and side bite I was getting. My truck was able to hold every line and make every turn with no hesitation which allowed me to go from 6th on the grid to 3rd spot overall by the end of a very fast and competitive race.
Thank you Pro-Line, for all your support and great products.
