Round 2 of the 2014 1/10 BRCA National Series visited Southport in northwest England. Round 1 4WD winner and Pro-Line Driver Neil Cragg sought to make it two straight wins to start the season and increase his lead in the championship standings.
Early on it became apparent that Cragg and Lee Martin were the two main contenders for the win. Martin topped the time sheets after qualifying in round one, but Cragg stormed back to take the next three rounds to claim the pole position for the three-leg A final.
Lee got the better of Neil to take the win in leg one, then Cragg turned the table in leg two to even up the score heading into leg three. The anticipated battle between the two never materialized. An uncharacteristic mistake by Martin allowed Cragg to cruise to a comfortable win and the overall victory.
