The Dirt Nitro Challenge is typically a popular event for companies to ‘debut’ products in competition that have been under wraps until now, in addition to Team Associateds’ very public RC8 prototypes in the hands of Cavalieri & Maifield it seems Pro-Line have been busy over the winter developing a new style of body, present this weekend on team driver Ty Tessmann’s HB D812 buggy.
The new style called ‘Type-R’, is all we know at this stage however its clear that the styling is different to the ‘Bulldog’ style of cab-forward bodies; the engine’s cooling head now not as exposed as it previously was, we understand the style is designed by Tessmann himself and transferred across from his D413 1/10 4WD buggy. The style appears to still have quite the aggressive front cab but with more of a traditional even retro rear ‘larger’ cab including aero-influencing ‘flick ups’ on the sidepods. Stay tuned for more info.
