Zack Genova arrived to the track Friday for a day of practice and set ups for the Indoor National Series. The track was super dialed with outstanding traction, possibly more traction than most are used to driving on. Friday was a day of testing tires and inserts to get the right feel, Zack chose the Pro-Line Suburbs.
All day Saturday and early Sunday the four rounds of qualifying went pretty good. Zack and Steven Hartson had the only 19 lap run in 2wd Mod in qualifier #3. Racing was fast with 16 second average laps. When all qualifying was complete, Zack TQ’d Mod Short Course and made the other three A-Mains. The truck was tight, with Zack, Thielke and Borkwoicz all TQing one round, it would come down to the last qualifier. Zack’s Kyosho/Novak/Pro-Line vehicles were fast and super dialed.
Sunday were the Triple A-Mains. Zack ran super fast in all mains, some with clean driving and some with unfortunate bad luck. When the dust cleared, Zack won Mod Truck and placed 2nd in Mod Short Course.
After three full days of racing and the trophy presentations, I was packing up and looking for Zack… only to find him on the drivers stand with his Mom, showing her how to drive the RB6…
