CJ Jelin at Silver State 2021

A long weekend has came to a end at the 2021 Silver State Nitro Challenge. Thank you to The Dirt Crew for the hospitality and event. As usual Aaron, Joey, Kenny and Jimmy Babcock ran a amazing race with 814 entries.

The track this year had more water in it and changed the tire game more than the previous years. In previous years when the track would get rough I would go to a Buck Shot. But this year I went back to a Hole Shot after talking to the Pro-Line team. The Hole Shot was faster and had more grip then a Buck Shot. For the mains I went out on M3 Hole Shots for all three mains.

Qualifying went ok in ebuggy and nitro buggy. I had the speed but my last laps took me out of a top ten. I ended up 13th in ebuggy and 14th in nitro buggy. In truggy I never had a good run and ended up 6th in the b main.

The truggy b main started out good I was getting up to the front but had a mistake. From there I had to push to make up from my mistake and came up 6 seconds short of the transfer to the Amain.

The ebuggy a Amain started out a little rough and I came around the first lap in 12 and slower started to pick people off. Then the last lap I tried to hold Cavalieri and crashed. I went from 4th to 7th.

For the nitro buggy main I had learned from my mistakes in truggy. I started bad and went to last on the first lap. From there I went on to hit my lines and was making my way to the front when I hit a bump and broke. It was my fault I shouldn’t have tried to make the jump after hitting the bump but I can only learn from my mistakes and not do the same.

Thank to my friends, family and sponsors for all your support. Next race is the Roar Fuel Nationals at Lcrc raceway in Oakland
