“Once I started hammering on the car though I found the first weak link: the transmission. The roll pin on the top shaft let go and put chunks of metal into the gears and shredded all three gears inside the transmission. I have been helping a reader on my site set up his new Pro-Line performance transmission and it got me thinking about it. I have been wanting to try a different toe-in setting on the right rear and the PL transmission will allow that, plus it will reduce some of the rotating mass and eliminate the weak point of the top shaft in the stock transmission.

The Hoosiers worked really well on the carpet and those shocks have spoiled me, they are a night and day difference over stock. That was one of my favorite parts of the Pro-Fusion, they are so silky smooth.”
