Jörn Neumann Wins at 2WD German Nationals 🏆

This years 2WD German Nationals took place in Andernach at the famous Arena33 outdoor Astroturf track. Unfortunately the weather forecast for the weekend wasn’t good, with rain all weekend. The track was very slippery and a challenge to drive consistent laps. On Saturday were 2 Rounds of free practice, followed by 1 Round of Controller practice for reseeding the heats for qualifying.

After a short lunch break 3 Rounds of qualifying began. Pro-Line factory driver Jorn Neumann took the TQ in Q1 and Q3 to end the day. For Sunday were 2 more Rounds of qualifying and the triple 7 minute A-Finals. Q4 and Q5 wasn’t as good for Jorn and he and Marcel were tied on points, but Marcel had the better throw out score and Jorn had to settle for 2nd. The finals were a close battle between them, but Jorn could take the wins in A2 and A3 to secure the overall 2WD Championship.
