October 12-14, 2018
I attended the 2018 Cajun Classic hosted by T&T Speedway RC in Shreveport, LA. I attended this event for the 2nd year in a row and once again, it was a great race. I was able to grab podium finishes in both 2wd Mod Buggy and 4wd Mod Buggy.
The challenging high grip surface at T&T Speedway RC made for some great racing. I ran Pro-Line Racing MC Primes all weekend. They provided a solid balance of grip and cornering speed for the track conditions. In 2wd, I would qualify and finish 2nd after some great racing with fellow Pro-Line teammate Tyler Hooks. He and I would have a few close racing moments, but I was a bit too inconsistent to be there at the end of the first two of the three triple A-mains. I would go onto win A3 and finish 2nd overall. In 4wd, I qualified and finished 3rd after some great racing with Tyler and local racer, Chris Acosta.
Overall, it was a fun weekend and I’m looking forward to attending this event again next year!
