Finally home and rested from the 2017 Dirt Nitro Challenge. Had a pretty up and down week of racing with a lot of bad luck. I would have really good E-Buggy qualifying on the rough track which would position me in the B-Main of Pro E-Buggy. And in pro nitro buggy, it seemed like I couldn’t catch a break. I would have transponder issues in Q1 and break on the final lap in Q3 which would put me in a pretty low Main come Sunday.
“In the race warm-up the car felt AMAZING on my Pro-Line M3 ElectroShots, I felt super confident on bumping.”
On Saturday for my B-Main, I would have a good start but halfway through the race I would case a triple and suffer mechanical problems which would end my chances of even thinking about bumping. In the end I was happy with my speed and with my B-main appearance. The next day for my nitro buggy main, I made some pretty big setup changes hoping for them to pay off. In the race warm-up the car felt AMAZING on my Pro-Line M3 ElectroShots, I felt super confident on bumping. I would get into the lead on the first lap and had begun to separate myself from the rest of the field. On lap three my bad luck would continue with a steering issue that would end my race.
I’m definitely bummed on how my week went but I knew I had the speed which only gives me more motivation for the next one! A huge thanks to everyone who helped me throughout the week as well as my sponsors!
