The Archway Classic in St. Louis Missouri at SmacTrac is a fun trophy race, this was the second year that the race had been ran and it was a blast!
4WD Mod Buggy. (Xray XB4 on Pro-Line Electrons) I was able to TQ all three rounds. But I can’t say I blew away the competition at all! Every round was very close racing and I TQed by only a couple of seconds. The A-Main was very tight racing as well. Right off the start, the top three broke away all battling for the top spot. 2-minutes into the race the 2nd and 3nd spot got together and I broke away. All I had to do is not crash and the win was mine!
I was able to not crash and take the win!
1st: Dillon Caldwell, Xray, Pro-Line
2WD Mod Buggy. (Xray XB2 on Pro-Line Electrons) I took the first two qualifiers to really get my car and lines dialed in. The last qualifier I was able to put in a really solid run and finished 6th for the round. I started the A-Main in the 6th spot. The main went way worse than I thought it would! From the first lap to the last lap there were crashes everywhere and since there wasn’t very much traction, it was very easy to accidentally bump someone because the tires would slide a little bit when the brakes were put on hard. I was able to not have the worst race out of everybody and finished 7th.
