This was awesome event put on bye Jérôme Treignier at the Bego Track in Napierville, Quebec with over 230 entires and racers from all across Canada and the USA in attendance to battle it out on this awesome High speed, High grip layout.
My Kyosho MP9 tki4 with Pro-Line Rubber was great right from the start of practice on Thursday, with a few small adjustments to the car to help with the high grip my MP9 was ready for qualifying.
In Qualifying my MP9 with Pro-Line X3 Fugitives was fast and glued to the track yet it was so easy to drive fast and hard. I was able to get 6 solid qualifying rounds for both classes. I qualified 5th overall in the over 35 class and 9th overall in Pro Class.
Saturday night was the over 35 main and with night race track conditions would change a little with the moisture come up but grip went down so decided to go with X4 Fugitives. That was the right call my car was so fast and easy to drive I was able to get 4th after the 30-min main. Although I missed the podium I was happy with my performance.
Sunday morning brought some rain but it only slowed things down a hour or so and soon after the track would be in top form again.
So with sun out and the temps up on Sunday afternoon the grip would be high. So I would bring my Kyosho MP9 tki4 with Pro-Line X2 Fugitive Lites to the grid starting 9th. At the start of the race I was just trying to stay clean and smooth, which worked and I had a very smooth and clean race with some of my best driving to finish in 6th with some of the fastest drivers in the northwest. I was super happy with how fast and easy to drive my Kyosho tki4 with Pro-Line Rubber was.
Congratulations to Mark Sousa on the win and Paul Ciccarello in second and Derek Sousa in 3rd on there finishing positions.
Thank you to my Sponsors Kyosho America, Joe Pillars, Pro-Line Racing, Daniel Adams for there continued support.
Also special thank you to my wife Connie Rose Cariati for taking care of my 3 awesome kids so I can follow my racing passion.
Thank you,
Steven Di Placido
