This past weekend I attend the 13th annual sidewinder nitro explosion at RC Tracks of Las Vegas. After a long 10-hour drive on Thursday I was able to get a little bit of practice and had a good starting setup. Friday was practice for the race. I changed shock fluid and switch to universals as the track starting to get rough, which improved my cars handling though the bumps. Saturday we arrived at the track and started to setup, and found out in the drivers meeting that the race was a one day due to lack of entries. In qualifying I was able to top qualify 2 out of the 3 rounds. I didn’t do any setup changes in qualifying because my car was very good, I did however try different tires in round three and although I had my fastest lap of the weekend I lost consistency. Before my Main I went through my car completely to make sure my car was ready for my 30-minute A-Main under the lights. The start of my A-Main 2nd and I battled for 4 to 5-minutes. He had a mistake and I had some breathing room, then starting running clean consistent laps and pulled away for the field and won intermediate Nitro Buggy.
