Kea’iwa Heiau State Park located above the town of Aiea and Pearl Harbor. Kea’iwa meaning “The mystery” and Heiau meaning “Temple” in the Hawaiian language. This place is said to refer to the mysterious powers of an ancient kahuna (or Priest) as a healing temple who used plants for medical healing, practiced their craft.
With a well known 4.8 mile long hiking trail within the park, The Aiea Loop Trail consist of some gradual uphill climbs with steep switchbacks and stream crossing. Groves of Norfolk pines and eucalyptus trees create a forest type environment .
