Jared Wiggins at Psycho Nitro Blast on Pro-Line Hole Shots

Had an amazing time this weekend at the Psycho Nitro Blast in Tennessee bringing in 830 entries!! The facility was top notch and is definitely my new favorite event! As far as the racing went, I decided to only do Pro Buggy, Pro Truggy and Pro E-Buggy.

Arriving at 4:30 Friday morning we set up, slept for an hour and that’s when it all began… Practice till 12:30am then sleep to 3am and practice till 7 haha. Needless to say it was a crazy day with a 20 some hour day of qualifying!

Ran Pro-Line Hole Shots on my Truggy and Buggy along with the Trifecta Lexan Wing

In Pro E-Buggy I had some mediocre runs but still able to qualify 3rd in the C-Main. In Pro Nitro Truggy I had a mistake for round one and two by not correctly setting my brakes haha, but had it sorted for round 3 which was an 11 for the round! Even with the bad first 2 runs I still was able to BQ Pro Truggy!! In Pro Buggy I had some solid runs putting me 13th in the B main!! Going into the mains I had a goal of making one main event.

In the Pro E-Buggy C-Main I was able to slowly work to the top after a good race! This put me into the B-Main which I made 1/4 of a warm-up lap where I broke on the big jump… Oh well, that 45ft jump was really gnarly!

In Pro Truck I had an engine issue on the start so I got going 2 minutes late… I was able to hotlap the field by .5 seconds and work back to 7th getting 2 of my laps back on the fieldd! Really bummed because I know I had A-Main speed… In Pro Buggy I knew was going to be the hardest to make the Main, but I was determined to do it from the back of the field! I got off fairly clean and picked them off one by one, by the 10 minute mark I found myself in a bump spot and had an awesome battle with Mikey Paige, John Michael McGinty and Evan Vail! With a few minutes left Evan and I had engine issues but still were 3 and 4 with 2 minutes left!!! I was leading with a lap to go when he had an amazing pass putting me right behind him until I flamed out half a lap from finishing… Apparently the idle screw had loosened up mid race causing the trouble. Although I didn’t make it I know I had the cars and pace to do it so I’ll just have to get them next time! Overall it was an awesome event and great to meet all the new people!

Huge thanks to all my Sponsors for all their support and amazing equipment!!!
