Well yesterday was one of a kind race day at the very own “The Track” in Gaithersburg,MD, hosting the 2nd Annual New Years Off-road Shootout, with a month of advertisement the entire track was able to draw 200+ entries!!!
Pro-Line M4 Primes in the Front and Rear
I ran 2WD Mod Buggy and boy there where some heavy hitters from out of town that came to race and it was stacking up to be an awesome event!!!! The day started out awesome taking the Win in Q1 and giving me good confidence, Q2 rolled around and had me on an incredible third place run when my rear tire decided it was tired and the wheel nut came off hahahah, that dropped me to 8th in the A-Main cut…
So Q3 rolled around and I put a set of scuffed M4 Primes on the car with FDJ Appledew and I was able to take 2nd right after my boy Jay Drakeford and in front of the man himself Hunter W. Waters!!! Main time rolled around, start of the race I had in my mind hammer down, me and Jay battled for 1st for a little over half of the race when trying to make a little move and the pipe caught me and threw me off my line and made another mistake that let Hunter take 2nd and TJ take 3rd but I kept pushing and snuck back into 3rd!!!
The car was stuck on FDJ Sauce and P-L Tires!!!
For me I’m happy almost 5 heats of 2WD Buggy, 200 entries basically and out of town people that are really well know I’m very happy!!
