Made the three-hour trek to Speed R/C on November 21st for the 2015 Kyosho Thanksgiving Showdown.
The race drew 109 entries and I competed in three divisions to keep busy and log as much track time as possible.
In the 4WD Short Course Truck division, I grabbed TQ and 1st place with my Tekno SCT410.3 Truck.
I was able to separate from the field by using Pro-Line M4 Primes, which allowed me to put down smooth and consistent laps.
The facility changed their track compound before the trophy race, which created some traction issues especially for the 2wd classes.
I battled my way into the 2WD SCT A-Main with my Pro-Line PRO-2 SC by bumping up from the B-Main.
In the A-Main against some tough competition, I raced to a 9th place finish with my PRO-2 SC.
My X-Ray XB4 was fun to drive, as I was able to weave in and out of the turns on the tight technical indoor track. I qualified straight into the A-Main and wrapped up my Thanksgiving showdown race with a top 5 finish in the 1:10 4WD Buggy division.
I would like to thank Pro-Line Racing, Maclan Racing, Boca Bearings, Xpert Servos and Bullit R/C Hobby Shop for their continued support!!
