This past weekend I traveled up to AMS Raceway for their 6th Anniversary Trophy Race.
I wanted to try the Pro-Line Pro-Spec Shock Kit on my HotBodies D413 4WD Buggy.
After some setup the shocks were perfect after adding some droop and changing the oils throughout the day.
The shock provides great absorption and I found increased grip especially in the rear compared to the stock shocks that comes with the vehicle.
In qualifying I used the Pro-Line 2.2″ M4 Electrons in the front and in the rear I ran the new Microns in a M4 Compound. The comparison I found between the Electrons and Microns was that when the track was moist the Microns were less aggressive but easier to drive with which is why I kept them on during the day. I was able to qualify 5th overall. In the Main I had a early mistake that cost me the race being that it was only 5-minutes I tried to move back up the pack but I fell short and was only able to get 5th in the end. I wasn’t happy with my results but learned a lot from the day and on to the next race.
