All of my Pro-Line Tires worked flawlessly!

Friday 7-31-15 Outback Raceway
This would be my first race back with 1:10 Buggy since the National race 3 weeks prior, I was pretty excited to race my X-Ray XB4 once again. I got to the track around 4pm to get a little bit of practice in to get back into the swing of things. The Buggy was dialed as always and I was looking forward to racing it once again! Luckily there was a full heat of 4WD Buggy and close to 60 entries.

Qualifying
In the first qualifier I would start 7th on the grid, on the first lap I would find myself to the lead. About 3-minutes into the run my servo began to glitch really bad and I would have to pull off resulting in a DNF, after popping in a different servo and testing it, I knew it was the servo causing the glitch and not any of the other electronics. Now with the confidence in my equipment, I was now ready for the 2nd round of qualifying. This time I would start 2nd on the grid, I would pass 1st on the first corner and never look back, with a semi clean run I would take the TQ heading into the Main.

Main
In the Main I would pull away early and have more pace than the 2nd qualifier mainly due to him being a 2WD Mod Buggy. I would end up taking the win by 12-seconds. Even though 2nd place was a 2WD I still felt really happy with how my Buggy performed!

Saturday 8-1-15 Rattlesnake Raceway
After a late night of racing the night before, I was definitely tired Saturday morning. I was excited though as this would be my first time running my new Tekno NB48.3 Nitro Buggy! I was only was able to get around 10-minutes of practice with it before racing would start, I knew it needed a little bit of setup work but didn’t have time to sit down and work on it. Due to the lack of entries except for the Nitro classes we all decided to run triple 10 minute mains for all classes instead of 2 quals and a single Main.

Mains
A1: With the box stock setup on the car it definitely wasn’t as good as it could’ve been on the weird track surface, 1st place and I would battle the entire race but due to the amount of mistakes I had made I would finish 2nd.
A2: After a rough first race, I would end up making a few more setup adjustments to better suite the loose and rough track. The car felt much more controllable and not nearly as aggressive, I would go on and win A2 only making 1 mistake!
A3: With me getting 2nd in A1 and 1st in A2 it would come down to A3 to decide the overall winner. The car felt a lot better with the setup adjustments in A2, I would make 2 more changes going into A3. Luckily I made the right decision on the setup changes, I would start first and never look back. I beat my fast lap in A2 by over a half of second and beat my earlier times by almost a lap.

I would go on and take the win and overall win in Nitro Buggy.

Overall it was a really good couple of day of racing, I had alot of fun and was really impressed with my new NB48.3.
