After attending the E-Nats I decided to make the 2.5 hr trip to G’s Raceway in Shippensburg, Pa for their points race #7 this is the first time I had been able to get there to race it was a great day hanging out with friends and long time fellow racers.
With the track being dry with a black groove on the clay surface I decided to mount up some new X3 Diamond Backs on V2 Wheels.
They swept and watered the outside edges and left the groove. Q1 my car was really good with the changes in shocks and diff fluids from the Nats. Q2 my Tires were coming in as my lap times dropped and I had a fast lap of 23.4 and the car was really consistent. I decided to keep everything the same for Q3 and the car and
Pro-Line Tires were working amazing.
I was up on TQ by 4-seconds and I came off of a jump on the backside and the car just stopped and the Front Wheel was locked up so my run was finished. After the race I found the front arm had broken and left the axle come out and got bound up with the diff cup. For the Main I would start 5th and I kept my car and Tires the same for the Main. On lap 2 I was running second and running better lap times than the leader a few laps later the leader had an issue which put me in the lead so I just drove consistent laps and at the end of the 10 min I had 11 sec on second place to win the A-main. My Kyosho car was on Pro-Line Tires all day.
