This past Memorial Day weekend, I participated in the 2015 Serpent Cup. I raced in three divisions and was fortunate enough to reach the podium in all three divisions.
In the 4WD SCT division, I was able to race to a 2nd place finish after working out some kinks in qualifiers. In the 2WD Sportsman Buggy class, I got extremely lucky as the another racer bobbled on the last turn before the finish line and I was able to sprint past him to claim 3rd place and a spot on the podium. My third class was 1:8 E-Buggy which was my first time racing an E-Buggy, it was a very tight A-Main though I was able to narrowly walk away with a 2nd place finish by .580 of a second.
I used the brand new Pro-Line Prime Slick Tires on my 4WD Short Course Truck and the traction was perfect! I was able to shave off almost a second per lap and put down some of the fastest lap times in the division.
I used a combination of Pro-Line ION and Electron Tires on my other vehicles. In addition to the Tires, I used Pro-Line F-11 and Velocity Wheels and an EVO Body on my SCT.
