Outback Raceway Friday April 3rd-

It was that time of week again where I would venture down to Outback Raceway in Chico, California for their annual Friday night club races. I got there a couple of hours early to get some much needed 1:10 track time as I have been doing a lot more 1:8 since the last time I did 1:10. Luckily after 2 or 3 battery packs I once again felt comfortable and was ready for racing to begin. I would once again race my XB4 4WD Buggy and my stock AE B5M, I was able to set the pace and TQ for the first round of 4WD Buggy while taking 4th in 2WD. In the next round I would grab the TQ once again in 4WD but it still wouldn’t beat my first round time securing the overall TQ heading into the Main. While for 2WD I would have another bad run finishing in the 7th position and I would start 6th for the Main event.

-Mains-

My 4WD Buggy Main was up first for me, I would get a somewhat decent start but would bobble on the third corner giving up the first position. For most of the race I would be in 2nd, 1st place was doing a great job blocking the lane not giving me any chances to make a pass. I would have to wait until he made bobble to get a decent shot at making the pass, and he did. On the second to last lap he traction rolled at the end of the straight away giving me the opportunity to pass and I did, I was able to hold the lead for the rest of the race and secure the win in a very close race! While in pro stock buggy I once again had another bad run struggling to get the car around the track as I would finish in the 7th position.

Rattlesnake Raceway Saturday April 4th-

After a very short nights sleep from racing the following night I was ready for another day of racing. I decided to run my Tekno NB48 and NT48 Buggy and Truggy, I looked forward to racing at Rattlesnake as it has been a while due to the low amount of turnouts. Luckily we had plenty of people to race and so we did. The Buggy qualifier was first for me; I was able to have a good almost clean run and got the TQ for the round. I was able to accomplish the same task in Truggy also securing the TQ in it. I decided to sit out the next round of qualifiers due to some clutch problems and I wanted to make sure both cars were ready for the mains. My runs from the 1st qualifier fortunately held up and I would get the overall TQ in both classes heading into the main events!

-Mains-

After a nice lunch break my Buggy Main was first up for me, it would be a 20-minute Main. Being on the pole I would get a great start and never looked back, I had a flawless run with no mistakes. I would take the win. I was lucky enough to have a very similar run in Truggy, once again I would get a great start and would walk away from the field, and I would take the win.

Overall it was a great weekend of racing for me and one of the best I have ever had. It seems like my cars keep getting better and better every time!

All of my Pro-Line Bodies, Wings, and most importantly Tires worked absolutely flawlessly!

I would love to thank my sponsors, Tekno RC, Pro-Line, Tekin, Airtronics, DE Racing, Byron Fuels, E1D, Schelle, All Around RC, and Reds Airbrush Designs.

Without all you their help I definitely would not be here today!!!
