Last weekend was the 2015 Icebreaker race at Indy RC World in Garland, TX. This race is cash payout for the Pro Class every year so it usually draws in a good crowd.
In attendance this year were Adam Drake, Ryan Lutz, Joe Bornhorst, Cole Ogden and many more.
The track was a nice flowing layout with quite a few jumps, so timing was key.
In the first round of qualifying I ran my trusty M3 Hole Shot 2.0s and made a few mistakes but had good speed so I ended up 7th for the round. For round 2 I mounted up another new set of M3 Hole Shot 2.0s and made it my Goal to cut out mistakes and just drive clean. In my 2nd round I battled with Colin Herzig all race and this slowed us both down, but I still ended up getting another 7th for the round.
When it came time, I mounted up X3 Fugitives for the 45-minute A-Main because the track was grooved and very abrasive at this point.
On the first lap I got tangled with a couple guys and came around the first lap in 12th. With the pace everyone was running it was tough, but I managed to come through to finish 6th.
My Pro-Line products were great all weekend.
