Catching Up with Joel Briggs and His Pro-Line PRO-2 SC Truck

I ran the Short Course Showdown on Halloween weekend. I ran Stock SCT and Stock Buggy. My Pro-Line PRO-2 SC with M4 Electrons was pretty dialed all weekend. I ended up the weekend with a 6th place finish in Stock SCT after a having a decent battle at the beginning of the race in the top 4.

My B5M was stuck to the track all weekend with VTR M4 Electrons as well. I ended up with a 6th place finish in Stock Buggy as well.

In December, I attended the JConcepts Indoor finals. I ran Stock Buggy and Stock Short Course again. I didn’t do as well as I wanted this weekend. I finished 6th in the C-Main of Buggy, and 9th in the B-Main of Short Course. I just couldn’t put together clean enough runs in the qualifiers. I had the truck to bump to the A-Main in Short Course, but electronic gremlins prevented that from happening.

Other than those races, I’ve been club racing as often as I can. Fellow teammate Adam Kohler and I have made it to a new track a couple of times that is 2 hours away to show our out of town support. I TQ’d and won Stock Stadium Truck there last week.

There are a couple of events that I plan on attending in the coming months. One being the Spring Classic at Bluegroove RC in Des Moines, IA in March. The other will be the Fourth Annual Novak Off Road race at ‘The Plex” here in Omaha in April. We will also be starting up our annual 6 month points series in April, I’m pretty excited about that.
