On Saturday 11/15/2014 I headed up to Temple RC Speedway for a club race. The weather was cold and some rain was in the forecast. I decided to run Pro4 and E-Buggy at this race. Normally at smaller races like this I only run one class, so that I have more time to help other people, but I wanted to do some testing with my Tekno SCT410 to work out the bugs. After 3 rounds of qualifying, I managed to put the only 10-lap run in for Pro4 and take TQ. After a clean start in the Main, I held on to the lead for a few laps, but then made a few mistakes, letting my Tekno teammate slip by and pull away. While holding onto 2nd place, I suddenly experienced a voltage drop in my batteries and had to retire early. Until then my Tekno SCT410 worked very well on M4 Blockades! 🙁
E-Buggy was a stacked field with about 25 entries. After 3 rounds of qualifying on a track that was getting faster, I managed to qualify 2nd! In my 3rd run I was able to put down a new track record! Unfortunately my joy didn’t last too long in the Main as the leader lost traction in the second turn and ended up clipping my front end, putting me in the tube. This meant that I had to come from very last and having to battle the field on a track where it is fairly hard to pass. Although I had the speed of the leaders, traffic held me up too long and caused me to make too many mistakes and I was able to only come back to 5th place. My Tekno EB48.2 running Pro-Line X3 Blockades was on rails all day!
Thank you for your continued support!
