Well this past weekend was the first round of the Mugen Grand prix Series at Heritage R/C Park in Chula Vista CA.
The day started off good with a 2nd overall qualifying in intermediate buggy.
For the main I had a rough start. On the first lap, I made a huge mistake which dropped me back to 9th place. I then knew I had to put my head down and drive smooth. I was able to stay very consistent and take the lead with 8 laps to go which then resulted in the win!
I choose to run X3 HoleShots in the 25-min A-Main since the track dried out after 15-min.
The X3 compound was great when the track was wet and even better when it was dry. The tires still have a lot of tread on them after the long main.
