I really had a great time this weekend at the Pro-Line Indoor State Championships @ Warehouse 3. The facility was prepped extremely well and I would like to thank Jim Lowell, Ricky Wibel, Kyle Defatte, Kenny Brosh and everyone else involved in making this event what it was.
Overall the racing went pretty well for me. I was able to TQ 4WD Mod Buggy and Pro 4, while qualifying 5th in 2WD Mod and 3rd in the premier Mini 8T class.
The funnest race of the day for me by far was my battle with fellow Pro-Line Driver Tanner Stees in 4wd Mod. Even though I started first and finished second, it was the most fun I’ve had in an electric main in a long time. 10-minutes of clean racing and in the end Tanner was the better driver. No shame there, the kid is a wheel. Also congrats to Nathan Chase for making the podium with his TLR 22-4.
2WD Mod Buggy didn’t have near the excitement. I qualified 5th and we all just freight trained along for half the race until a few cars finally crashed and broke up the line. After the smoke cleared I ended up in 5th, right where I started. Congrats to Tommy Hinz for much deserved win, once he got the lead he never looked back.
Pro 4 I was able to turn TQ into a 1st place victory for the second straight year with my TLR TEN-SCTE 2.0. The guys in the Pro 4 class always have the most fun out there and it’s a blast to join in. I also want to give a shout out to Kevin Kilday and congratulate him on his first podium in the class with his TLR Ten-SCTE. Good job!!!
