We had a great time again this year at the ElectroChamps race!
The amazing Greek summer is here and like every year is the perfect time of the season to run the biggest electric off road event here in Athens!
It seems like almost every off-road racer in Greece is looking forward for this two day event that runs 2WD class on Saturday and 2WD and Short Course on Sunday under perfect weather. Fanatix Racing Track in the Northern suburbs of the capital was preped and looked better than ever to welcome Pro-Line and Team Associated’s factory driver, Peter Pinisch for the first time!
Over 50 cars raced all weekend in order to crown a brand new ElectroChampion for 2014…Peter dominated the event running his Team Associated B5 on Saturday smashing the lap record and winning the first day with Vassilis Bournias (Schumacher Racing) finishing second and Dimitris Fotinos a close third (Team Kyosho).
Sunday was 4WD show time for Pinisch with big air jumps and low lap times again with his dialed Team Associated B44.2 that brought home to the first place followed by Fotinos (Team Kyosho) and Bournias (Hot Bodies).
Same day was the SC race with last year’s runner up Dionisis Sikianakis (Team C) showing some serious speed compared to the rest of the field winning easy the first place with Konstantinos Ziakas (Team Associated) and George Mouzouris finishin second and third.
Another great event is now part of the past…until next year that is!
We would like to thank our event sponsors – Liqui Moly, BOCA Bearings and Stickit1 Racing for making this race possible and the racers for making it so special for us again this year.
Special thanks to Peter Pinisch for representing Team Associated and Pro-Line, and for helping young racers all weekend!
