The Third Annual Team Associated Top Gun Shootout was held this past weekend at SDRC Raceway in San Diego. Track owner Scott Bergen prepared an awesome layout for this event. With some of the best drivers in the west being in attendance, racing was close in all classes with mains being 7-minutes long. There were four rounds of qualifying with double A-Mains.
In the highly competitive Pro-4 SC class Pro-Line Driver David Jenson was able to take 2nd with his Orion powered Team Losi Racing TEN SCTE 2.0 with Pro-Line M4 Suburbs.
In 1:8 Buggy David was able to place 3rd with his Orion powered 8ight-E 3.0 buggy with Pro-Line MC IONs.

Had a great time this weekend at the Third Annual Top Gun Shootout. There was a lot of great competition on hand.
Qualified third in PRO-2 SC and took 2nd overall after double A-Mains I couldn’t have done it without my MC IONs they were hooked up all day.

I competed in 3 classes being Modified 2WD Buggy, 17.5 2wd Buggy, and Modified 2wd SC.
In Mod 2WD Buggy, I struggled all weekend with set up and only managed to qualify into the C-Main and ended up 7th in the C-Main.
In 17.5 2WD Buggy I would qualify 4th overall and after some rough starts in the double A-Mains and having to come from 10th on the first lap in both I would ended up finishing 5th overall.
In Mod 2WD SC I would TQ 3 out of the 4 rounds to take the overall TQ but struggled some in the double A-Mains and with a 2nd and a 3rd I would finish 3rd overall.
In both Buggy classes I ran MC VTR Transistor fronts (2WD & 4WD) and MC Electron rears, In Short Course I ran MC Suburbs in front and MC IONs on the rear.
