Grass Roots Racing Series final round was upon us at Thunder Alley R/C Raceway.
Saturday was Nitro day and I started the day 5th in points. If I did good I could have had a top 3 overall. So with a new motor and new Pro-Line Blockade Tires I was ready for quals.
It didn’t go well at all. I started last in the A-Main. I drove hard and was running in the 3rd spot for awhile. I made a mistake and fought to stay in the top 5. 19-Minutes and 30-Seconds later I was in the top 5 still and on my last lap. Come to find out my transponder broke and that last lap didn’t count, so I ended 10th =[
Sunday was Electric day. I was only running E-Buggy. I used the same Blockade tires from my Nitro car. I was already siting 5 points ahead in the standing so I just had to finish in the top 4 to take the win. First round I blew a wire apart. 2nd round missed TQ by one second.
Main event I had the worst start in the world. I knew I just had to find a groove that worked and stay in it the whole race. I was catching first every lap, I just ran out of time. I ended up 2nd for the race but I did take the overall win for 3 straight years now.
