This past Saturday I attended a Club Race at one of my Local Tracks, 301 Raceway in Wildwood, Fl.
I entered 2wd Stock Buggy and 2wd Stock SCT
Racing got underway around 11:30 with my first Qualifier being 2wd Stock Buggy. The track was Medium Bite and Dusty, so I decided to run my P-L M3 Scrubs up front with M3 IONs in the Rear. 1st Qualifier I had an OK run but knew that the Buggy had much more to give, So I decided to switch to M3 Suburbs in the Rear and on my 3rd Qualifier I was on pace to put myself in the A-Main, but a mistake at the end of the straightaway cost me valuable seconds and placed me in the B-Main.
In the B-Main my Buggy was on point but I missed the bump to the A-Main by a couple seconds, but with my P-L equipped B5M I couldn’t be more happy with the performance.
My next Qualifier was 2wd Stock SCT. This was going to be the 2nd race for the Pro-Line PRO-2 SCT. My truck was equipped M4 Slicers up front and M3 IONs in the rear. After noticing that the track was dusting up, I decided to make a tire change and run Blockades in the Rear. 1st and 2nd Qualifier I was trying to figure out gearing on the Truck and by the 3rd qualifier I had it down and ready to go for the 3rd Qualifier which put me in the A-Main.
In the A-Main I battled with Teammate David Whitesides and at the end he pulled off the 2 spot and I finished on the Podium in 3rd.
This was the 2nd outing with the New PRO-2 SC Truck and 2 Podiums! I couldn’t be more pleased with this SCT!
The truck felt and performed amazingly on the Indoor Track!
