We headed to North Yorkshire last weekend for the third round of the E Buggy National Championships.  This track is always beautifully presented by the club. It is an all dirt track and is also playing host in 3 weeks time for our Nitro National Championship Round 3, so it was also a good time to be getting practice and test tyres etc. in readiness for that Championship round.

It is a one day event with practice, qualifying and a 12 minute final.  Elliott was able to TQ 2 of the 3 rounds of qualifying which would give him the overall TQ and pole position for the Main A Final later in the day. Elliott chose to use BowTie X4 Pro-Line tyres as the track was quite dusty. The setup on his Kyosho MP9 was very similar to his Nitro car with a few small adjustments. Elliott really likes his MP9E. He likes the way it drives and the balance of the car is very good and with superior power from his ultra reliable Tekin equipment running the RX8 Electronic speed controller and the T8I 1900 motor, which has been super fast, and very smooth in the way it delivers its power.

Main A Final

Elliott was on pole and was able to make a clean break at the start of the race and started to give himself a nice lead over Darren Bloomfield, who was chasing hard but after a few minutes into the race Elliott was able to pull a nice comfortable lead and was able to manage his final, making sure he had enough power left in his LRP batteries to run the full duration of the final, which he would then take the victory after nearly lapping the whole field.

With 3 wins now from this series and 2 more rounds left to go it looks very clear that Elliott, if he has not already done so, looks likely to take the National Championship crown.

This Race was held at Wakefield, North of the country, good sunny weather, track was all dirt, and quite dusty, we used X4 BowTies, and tried the X4 Diamond Back, both were very good.
