Well this past Sunday I raced in the 2wd MOD SCT class at G’s R/C Raceway in Shippensburg, PA. The weather was perfect and the track was ginormous. The track surface was a freshly packed layer of clay. Many people were running the Pro-Line Caliber M3 on the rear wheels and Pro-Line HoleShot M3 on the front wheels since the track tends to dry out and get a layer of dust of it.
I used this combination in my first two heats and it worked well. I decided to change it up to use Pro-Line HoleShot M3 on both front and rear since I noticed the middle of the lane was hard packed and didn’t have the layer of dust on it when my class ran. The traction I got from the Pro-Line HoleShot M3 tires was amazing.
After making several crucial driving mistakes I ended up placing 7th in the A-Main. All told it was a great day of racing and the Pro-Line tires certainly helped. RACE RESULTS
