This past Sunday Pro-Line driver Scott Furtado attended the Ford Winter Shootout at Maximus R/C Raceway up in York, ME. There were 130 plus entries with drivers from all over New England in attendance. Heath Jackson and the whole Maximus crew put down an awesome flowing layout at their indoor facility.
Here is what Scott had to say about the event:
“I competed in three classes this weekend: 2wd modified buggy, 4wd modified buggy, and 1/8 E-buggy. Qualifying went well as I ended up 7th overall in 2wd buggy, 2nd overall in 4wd buggy, and took the TQ spot in 1/8 E-buggy.”
“In the 2wd main the start went a little rough as a combination of drivers (including myself) crashed in the first turn causing a huge pileup and never finding a groove throughout the race hence ending up finishing 8th.”
“In the 4wd main I had a good start but had a couple of crashes and finished second 4 seconds behind the leader, and in 1/8 E-buggy I led every lap from start to finish and finished in first.”
- My 2wd buggy was equipped with M4 IONs (front and rear)
- My 4wd buggy was equipped with M4 IONs (front) and M4 Suburbs (rear)
- My 1/8 E-buggy was equipped with X4 IONs (front and Rear)
I want to thank Pro-Line for all their support this 2014 season.
Thanks Scott
