Tilar Pollack Wins Rd 3 of Jconcepts Super Cup

Jeffs RC

Thanksgiving break was finally here and it meant 3 things for me. Fried Turkey, Cowboys football and Racing.  Dad and I took the 3 hour trip South to Fort Myers, Fl to Jeff’s RC Studio site of Rd 3 of the Jconcepts Super Cup Race.  Friday was practice day we arrived around 11 am  set up pits.  The track was hard packed and pretty slippery.  With 130 entries strong and some of the best racers in attendance I knew it was going to be another challenge.  We choose M4 Hole Shot tires and m3 Edges for the first practice run and never looked back.  I had the fastest Stock lap times.  The M4 Hole Shot tires were gripping the dirt like no other tire there.  All the other racers were slipping and sliding through the turns and I was able to put my Truck anywhere I wanted.

Qualifying

Hoping for better track conditions on Saturday but that never happened.  Racers still chasing tires and compound the M4 HoleShot tires still had plenty of grip and traction.  It was finally time for Rd 1 and I was ready.  First up was my Short Course.  I won my heat and set early TQ.  Time for Stadium Truck.  Was out to early TQ pace but hard some bad luck with lapped traffic and ended up 2nd after rd 1.

Truck was on rails from the start of the horn I was setting a new TQ pace by 10 secs.  A last lap mistake with the slow rollover of death cost me, I tried to push it and hit a pipe next turn and it cost me TQ.

Mains:

2.5 hours later it was finally time for Truck A-main.  I was sitting 2nd on the grid and feeling really good, I knew I had a fast truck and just needed a mistake free race.  Tone sounded and off we went.  The leader hit a pipe in turn 2 and that was all I needed.  I had clean track in front of me and started to check out.  2 minutes into the race and I had a half track lead and never looked back and took the win.  This pulling me within 2 pts of the series leader going into the Final Rd at Shiverville Raceway at the end this month.
