C-netic Challenge 2013 Race Report

The C-netic Challenge 2013 held in Surabaya, Indonesia. This event provided the best track in the world in my opinion along with multiple international drivers and world champions attending this year! This is my third year running at this amazing track and I enjoyed it more than ever. Throughout practice my car was extremely good, mucking around with setup changes along with different tires. I ended up liking the Pro-Line X2 Big Blox tires the best as they gave me the most comfort and speed! There were 4 rounds of qualifying and I had some unlucky things happens in the first two but finished off the second two with top 3 runs. I started my semi final in the 6^th position and hoping to get a good start and not get caught up with the pack. I managed to get a great start and was in second place the entire race and confirmed my overall 3^rd place in the grand final.

I started off the race to a great start and went straight to the lead after the first corner and began the battle with Atsushi Hara, this went on for the entire hour final and it was an extremely epic battle and intense race. All of my gear was working amazing, my OS Speed Spec 2 engine ran perfectly the entire weekend, my X2 Big Blox Pro-Line tires were awesome and provided me with I believe the best tire for the weekend, my KO PROPO radio gear was faultless all week and I had a great race but unfortunately I was leading with 5 mins to go and Hara catching a back-marker accidentally hit the back of me and I got caught up with him and lost time, this was an unfortunate racing incident but of course this is racing and it is what it is!! I kept 2^nd place and finished the final feeling very pleased with my driving and result but I was a little disappointed as to what happened. Overall this is my favourite event every single year that I attend and hopefully there can be even more international drivers to attend next year and the years to come.
