The weekend of October 26th, drivers from all over the southeast converged onto the SnakePit Raceway in Maplesville, AL. for the 1st Annual Whoop Action Classic. Pro-Line Team Drivers Landen Lewis, Brian Lewis, Chris Cassidy and Joey Cook were in attendance. Landen Lewis represented by entering the Pro E-Truggy, Pro E-Buggy and Mod SCT Classes. Landen was able to secure TQ in mod SCT, but with a mistake early in the main, he found himself all the way back in last place. Landen faught hard, but was unable to catch the leader and settled for a 2nd place overall. Landen drove M4 Hole Shot tires on his Kyosho SC-R, using the Flo-Tek Body. In Pro E-Buggy, Landen made it into the A-Main and settled for 6th overall, just short of making the podium. In the Pro E-Truggy class, which was a huge class on the weekend, Landen qualified 2nd and finished with a 2nd place overall on the event. Landen ran M4 Holeshots on both his E-Buggy and E-Truggy.
Brian Lewis, father of Landen Lewis, ran Sportsman E-Buggy on the weekend which had over 30+ entries. With his usual duties of helping Landen on race days, Brian joined in the fun. Running his Kyosho TKIe with M4 Blockades, Brian was able to take the single 10 minute A-main for the overall victory. Teammate Chris Cassidy was the TQ on the class and finished 3rd overall. A side note is that 2nd place was also running Pro-Line tires, which provided a clean sweep in this class.
Chris Cassidy entered three classes during the event, in which he was able to podium in all three. In Sportsman E-Buggy, Chris Cassidy took the TQ, but slipped to 3rd overall after a late bobble. In Sportsman Nitro Buggy, Chris was able to take the TQ and the overall victory. Chris used M3 Holeshot tires on his Associated RC8 using the Pro-Line Bulldog Body. In 4wd SCT, Chris qualified 4th and ended up 4th as well on the event. On his Losi SCTE, Chris used M4 HoleShot tires, as well as the Pro-Line Flo-tek body. Taking 2 TQ’s, a victory, 2nd and a 4th was a great weekend for Chris.
Joey Cook entered the Pro Nitro Truggy class and qualified 4th overall. During the main, he was up in 3rd place, when his rear shock shaft broke causing some driving issues. However, Joey fought hard and walked away on the podium as 5th overall.
Joey Cook said, “I ran my mbx6t in pro nitro truggy and used the BullDog body and m3 Blockade tires and Pro-Line wheels!”
