We arrived at the Wicked Weekend for our first 1:8 scale event. Casey Wilson Racing supplied Zack Genova with a RC8 E buggy and a Losi 3.0 Nitro Car with a REDS Racing engine. We installed receivers and hit the track to practice all day Friday.

Saturday was qualifying. Electric went flawless, with a 12, 7, 3, 3 Zack qualified 5th in the A-Main. Nitro on the other hand was a struggle, I was in charge of glueing tires and Zack’s first run ended when a couple tires flung off the rims….enough said…but the resort would put him in the lowest qualifier for the remainder of the 3 rounds left.

Sunday, mains day. Zack won the D Main and lapped the field twice, then won the C Main. The B main was an intense 20 minutes, and Zack managed to get into the final bump position. Zack started the A Main in 15th, and soon moved into the top 3, leading for a couple minutes also. After the 30 minutes was complete, Zack finished 3rd. Not a bad day at all!!!!

The electric triple A Mains were a battle, and Zack ended up with a 5, a 6, and an 8.

We met a bunch of great people and had an absolute blast all weekend!
