The 2013 Short Course Nationals were held at RC Madness in Enfield Connecticut the weekend of August 24th and 25th. Team Pro-Line’s own Gerardo Gonzalez was in attendance to help out with team support as well as answer any questions from our end users. This years turnout saw 245 entries battle it out in 2wd and 4wd Short Course truck classes as well as Short Course Buggy classes. In previous years we saw the final days of competition get rained out, but this year the weather was perfect with plenty of sunshine all weekend long that helped the track developed and high bite groove with some light dust on the outside.
Team Pro-Line was able to put two of it’s recently released PRO-2 SC trucks in the Open A-main driven by Mark Smyka and Gerardo Gonzalez as well as take the TQ and 1st place in the Open Short Course Buggy class also driven by Gerardo Gonzalez with a converted PRO-2 SC kit.
The tire of choice for 2wd Short Course was the #1180-02 Holeshot SC in M3 compound. In the 4wd Open class Team Pro-Line driver Anthony Mazarro not only TQ’d but also dominated the A main by winning by a large margin over the rest of the field on #1185-02 M3 Tazer SC tires. RC Driver magazine’s own Greg Vogel was also driving a Pro-Line PRO-2 SC truck in the Open 2wd class.
Thanks to Chris Marcy, Mark Smyka and all the crew at RC Madness for another great Short Course Nationals, see you next year.
