Last weekend, Team Lewis Racing made the four hour trip north to Savannah, GA for the 2013 Summer Scorcher race. Pro-Line Team Driver, Landen Lewis and his father Brian Lewis went into the event hoping to sweep both the Short Course and Stadium truck class. In SCT, Landen Lewis was able to take top honors by winning each qualifier and the A-Main easily. Brian Lewis qualified 2nd overall but was not able to keep up with his son in the main and finished a comfortable 2nd place.
In Stadium truck, Landen was able to take TQ in the first qualifier but then lost it to local track pro, Tim Smith in qualifier #2. During the A-Main, Landen and Tim fought hard but Landen didn’t have enough to get around him in the end and so he finished up with a 2nd place finish.
Team Lewis Racing had a great time in Savannah and would like to thank the club at Phil Hurd Raceway for the hospitality beautiful venue to race at. So many people worked very hard in the 100+ degrees and humidity to put on the event. Also, would like to thank Pro-Line for all its support.
