JBRL #5 – Another Double Win! – Cody King Race Report

Another round of JBRL is in the books, and it was a great weekend for Cody, and Team Kyosho in general. He would get the critical TQ point in the buggy class, and win both truggy and buggy main events. In addition, there were 7 Kyosho MP9 buggies out of 12 available spots in the main event. Big shout out to Sean Gaffney, going toe to toe with the big dogs and finishing 2nd and 3rd in the truggy and buggy classes respectively.

The truggy class win allowed Cody to make up some ground on Adam Drake in that class, and put more distance between himself and the rest of the field in the buggy class. Cody has won the expert buggy final in each of the four rounds he has attended, and also collected some TQ points. This gives him firm control of the buggy class after 5 of the 8 rounds have been completed.

Cody ran his Kyosho MP9 TKI3 buggy, Reds Racing R5T-TE engine, Reds Racing 2014 pipe with xs manifold, Byron Worlds Blend Fuel with 30% nitro, Pro-Line M3 Holeshot 2.0 tires in buggy, and M3 Holeshots in truggy.
