Double win for the TLR 8ight 3.0 and Pro-Line at Grass Roots Racing Series Round 5!
Round 5 of the Grass Roots Racing Series headed to the amazing Pro-Line Racing test track. The turnout was great with 14 heats. The track at Pro-Line had a fresh layout built by Levi Jackson of Sik Track Designs the week before and no one got on the track for practice until Saturday morning. In the expert 1/8th buggy class, Adam Drake took the overall TQ honors by 5 seconds with his Nova Rossi powered Team Losi Racing 8ight 3.0 equipped with Pro-Line X3 Blockade tires. Pro-Line’s Cody King qualified second and Matt Schreffler lined up third for the 20 minute final.
In the final, Drake and King had a close battle until just before the midway point where King ran out of fuel. Drake then stretched his lead to over a lap to take the victory! In the final Drake used Pro-Line’s X3 Bowtie 2.0. In the 40+ class, TLR’s Don Vinkemulder took the win with his Orion powered 8ight 3.0 and Pro-Line M2 Blockade tires.
