The latest round of the BRCA 1/10th off-road electric nationals saw the drivers head to Shropshire to race on their classic retro grass track.
The weather was quite unpleasant for most the 2wd event on Saturday and saw some incredibly dirty cars after qualifying runs, thankfully though the rain subsided for the finals.
It was Lee Martin who took the overall win ahead of Reedy/Associated / Pro-Line driver Neil Cragg with his Centro C4.1, and Darren Bloomfield in third completing the podium. Fellow Centro drivers Tom Yardy and Paul Bradby also made the A final with their Reedy powered C4.1’s and Richard Lowe showed that the Associated B4.1 still has what it takes by putting his rear-motored Worlds car in the top ten as well.
On Sunday the rain had stopped and the cars were much cleaner. Despite the previous days conditions the grass surface held up remarkably well and remained consistent for the entire 4wd event.
After some stunning racing with the top guys showing awesome car control it was pole man Pro-Line driver, Neil Cragg, who took the win with his Associated B44.1 ahead of Ellis Stafford and Lee Martin. Again joining Neil in the A final were Associated team-mates Tom Yardy and Paul Bradby.
The titles remain open in both classes with Neil looking to take the challenge to Lee in the final two meetings.
